Lawliet had arrived at the castle first for he wore lighter clothing than Beowulf and after all he was built for speed. When he arrived at the entrance of the castle, the fighting already began. Arthias Soldiers versus Doramas Soldiers. All fighting to the death. One for the salvation of their kingdom. And the other fighting for the destruction of that kingdom. It was hell on Earth, it was gruesome. Nobles who had tried to escape the daring raid lay on the ground motionless and many stab wounds around their body. It was a horrible site to behold. Lawliet ran up to a Doramas Knight and killed him. Fighting his way to get to the Throne Room, his goal was not to save the King of Arthias. But rather, to give his revenge to the kingdom whom betrayed him by foiling their plan. He fought desperately...hoping it was not too late.
-----------------------------------------------
Doramas knights poured into the Throne Room. Being slaughtered by the two Grand Generals of the proud kingdom. But more knights replaced the fallen invading warriors. Pretty soon, the numbers of Doramas soldiers had overtaken the powerful two warriors within the throne room. Though many had been slaughtered in their attempt to kill the king, few had passed through the generals. Two Doramas Knights in particular ran towards the King of Arthias. They raised their spears, ready to strike the king. But King Matthias's desperation managed him to kill one of the knights by stabbing him in the throat through a tiny opening. However, the surviving knight was not an amature like the one that was killed. He was a veteran to witnessed many battles, though he was not spectacular his experienced made him a bit more powerful than the others. The Doramas Knight thrust his spear towars Matthias's heart. It pierced through the king's flesh, bursting the heart within his body into bits of tissue. "GLORY BE TO DORAMAS!" The Knight yelled triumphantly as he pulled the spear out. He knows that he would soon be killed by the two Grand Generals, but he fufilled his knightly duty. King Matthias took a few steps back, his face in awe. He grew cold and fell back, he sat on his throne..and died. The King of Arthias has fallen!

Beowulf ascended the stairwell from another part of the castle to the prince's bedchamber. He hoped desperately that he was not too late. he arrived, bursting down the door in time to see Edgar stabbing the last of the three assassin assailants in the face with his longsword. He was panting, but remained unscathed. He turned to the Grand General Commander.
"Beowulf! Thank the Gods!"
Beowulf motioned to Edgar.
"No time to lose, Your Highness! We must escape at once!"
Meanwhile, Amadus cursed himself. He had failed...his king was dead. In the end, he knew it would happen. However, the prince might yet live. He ran for a smaller doorway that lead to the hallway towards Edgar's room. As he ran for it, Makoto ran for it as well, stopping by the door and letting Amadus pass.
"You go. I will let none pass."
Amadus nodded and pushed forward, hoping he would arrive in time. Makoto raised his sword, which glistened among the light of the burning fires and the moonlight.
"Now, who wants to taste steel?"

Lawliet had killed many of the Doramas Soldiers out in the castleyard. He then heard from a Doramas Knight that had exited the Throne Room said that the King was already dead...he snorted. The assassin knew that was bound to happen. He smelled smoke in the air and looked to find flames at the castle tower, it started to spread once again. Lawliet had spotted Beowulf ascended some stairs earlier, "I guess that's where the prince is..." He grinned slyly under his mask as he slit the throat of another knight. The assassin slithered towards the stairs, gracefully dodging and killing enemies that charge towards him foolishly. He ran up the stairway, and found the room Beowulf and the prince were. The assassin raised his katar as he took a step forward into the room. "As the hired assassin of Doramas...I must kill you Lord Edgar. Though I have been betrayed by my employers...I'm still under contract." He said calmly to Edgar, then glancing over at Beowulf.

Amadus arrived just in time to hear Lawliet, and both he and Beowulf raised their weapons towards the assassin. Beowulf's blade glowed with a strange light as well.
"You will not harm a hair on his Highness!"

"Hmm...I guess you are this loyal to the prince after all. Humph..I can't possible stand up to two Grand Generals alone. Prince Edgar..your kingdom is lost. Your father killed. What is there left for you to do? You have nowhere to go but your allies...but can those two stop the three alliances against you. I know many things. Once it's dawn...I will not be an enemy of yours for my contract was to only fight for this invasion. I hope next time, we could be on the same side." He grabbed a smokebomb from under his pouch and threw it to the ground, "I suggest you escape this castle if you want to live. It's already too late for most of your comrades as it is." Lawliet yelled out to the prince and he disappeared within the smoke. He could have taken the oppurtunity to kill the prince in the smoke...but he didn't. What is the Fallen Angel's motives.

Haseo glances as Lawliet made his escape. "Lawliet, the Fallen Angel... Just what are you planning?" The king of Arthias was dead, the kingdom in shambles... Prince Edgar may have still been alive, but would that even matter? Arthias was no more...

Edgar stood silently for a moment. His father was gone, and everything he knew was falling around his head. But he knew that there were others...friends of Arthias he could count on. Before he could think any further, Beowulf grabbed him by the arm. Amadus leading the way, they ran down the hallway.
"Your Highness, you must not give up! Doramas may have won this treacherous battle, but all is not lost! Surely Lord Angus has caught wind and is readying his arms! Not all of Arthias has fallen!"
In another part of the castle, a man with two longswords was dancing left and right, killing all who approached him. Sword, spear, axe, bow...it didn't matter. He cut through them. Beside him was another knight with a sword and shield, fighting as hard as he could, despite a wounded sword arm. He panted deeply, his blond ponytail soaked in sweat. The man with the two swords and short blond hair turned to him.
"Are you alright, Captain Lars?"
Lars panted, looking at the man clad in armor before him; a Grand General of Arthias, a living War God.
"I am fine, Lord Ryan. We must continue forward..."

Looking around, Haseo notices that the flames engulfing the castle were increasing in size. If he stayed here any longer, he would surely die. Going down the hallway he came from, however, wasn't an option, as the flames had completely covered the stairways. "Damn... What do I do?!" At that moment, at Haseo's waist, the Silvance begins to pulsate as if responding to Haseo's plight. "Silvance?" Without hesitation, Haseo draws the broadsword Silvance from its sheath, and its pulsations grow more fiercely. "I think I understand..." Haseo then readies himself and... "HYAAAAAAA!!!!!" ...with a mighty swing of the blade, the flames blanketing the stairs are extinguished. Surely this was no ordinary blade Haseo held in his hands, but he had no time to worry about that. Making his way down, Haseo at last reaches the front entrance of the burning castle.

Where Haseo had gone, Doramas troops were pouring in. A small group of terrifyed Arthias soldiers stood behind a red haired women in paladin garb, her saber at the ready. She spotted Haseo as he descended from the stairs. What the hell was he thinking?!
"You there! Why have you not escaped?! You must leave at once!"
As she spoke, another Doramas knight charged...and was shortly ended when he was stabbed through the face.

Haseo was somewhat startled to see the woman standing at the castle entrance. "I apologize! I was trapped near the throne room!" Haseo runs to the front of the woman and readies the Silvance. "I'll hold them off here! You have to hurry! Prince Edgar's in danger!" Haseo fully understood the magnitude of the situation and realized that this was no time to show mercy. The first knight charged and swings its mighty blade. Haseo dodges his attack and ends his life with a quick thrust through the chest.

The woman was puzzled by the man. He was not a man of the military, but insisted on staying. She sighed, impaling another knight.
"Prince Edgar is the very reason I am here! I must hold them off as long as possible so they can escape! I suggest you do the same!"
Elsewhere, a spearman with black hair and gold armor could be seen leaning on another soldier with blue hair. An arrow was lodged in the back of the golden man's leg. Both held their weapons in one hand.
"Leave me! I will only hinder you, Alex! Do not waste your life!"
The blue haired man shook his head. He smiled a strange smile.
"I can't do that, Sir Claudius! Leaving my teacher and idol to die would leave a bad taste in my mouth!"

Haseo slashes the torso of another knight, then turns towards the woman. "No!! I won't run away! This is my home! And I'll gladly defend it with my life!" The Silvance seemed to react to Haseo's resolve, as it once again begins to pulsate. Haseo assumes a different stance... "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!" He swings the blade, letting loose a fierce gust of wind, knocking most of the frontal knights off balance. "I will not give Arthias up without a fight!!"

Isabel slashed two incoming knights with fluid motions, without missing a single beat.
"You stupid fool! Arthias has already fallen. I fight not for that which is already dead, but for the chance of it's rebirth under his Highness the prince!"
Suddenly, a stream of lightning shot forth from the enemy ranks, enveloping Isabel. She screamed in pain and fell to her knees, using her blade to support herself. A man in light garb and silver short hair appeared with a smirk on his face.
"Heh....is this all a Grand General of Arthias is worth? Pitiful!"

The sun could be seen rising in the east, it was amazing how the battle had raged for so long. The desperate Arthias kingdom was fighting to live, using every ounce of their strength to save their country. Lawliet stood overlooking the battle from a tall tree outside near the wall. He was crouching in the highest branch of the tree that was above the castle wall. He heard thunder and saw a woman hit by the lightning. Lawliet scowled angry at the sight and winced as the rising sun hit his eyes. The assassin chuckled lightly, he was no longer in contract. He jumped off the tree, jumping over the castle wall as well. He landed in the midst of the fight once again, the hired assassin stealthily maneuvered his way through the crowd until he was behind the silver haired man, "Hey. My contract is over with you guys. I stayed with ya for a bit even after you betrayed me. Hehe..now die!" He raised his right katar and stabbed towards the man's back.

The man calmly dodged to the side. He snickered evilly.
"There's a reason you're called a "Fallen Angel". Your time is up. And you can't recognize one of the 6 Guardians of Doramas, Slayn the Thunderbolt? Fool!"
The Doramas soldiers around Slayn raised their spears, surronding Lawliet.
